Texas A&M Teacher Summit 2008 ~ Engineering Applications
January 31st and February 1st
Engineering Applications is a 45 Minute Session. We will spend 15 minutes on sustainable energy, 15 minutes on nanotechnology, and 15 minutes on Q&A. (The Q&A time will be structured. The audience will be given pencils and paper to write questions on. They will be passed to the front, and I will moderate the Q&A.)
The Conrad team will take lead on the topic of sustainable energy. The Global High team will take lead on nanotechnology. Daphne, please let us know where you would like to tie in...
Dr. Capraro will send us a one page note on the best practices he will present on. We need to discuss / present how to teach the topics of sustainable energy and nanotechnology in the classroom with Dr. Capraro's best practices in mind.
We are aiming at having the basic framework of our presentations
visualized / completed before Wednesday. Then, we will work together
via email the rest of next week to finalize our presentations, at which time
I will consolidate everything and send it to Danielle by Monday so she can
include it in the participant packets. We will make sure our contact
information is present on our documentation.
Dr. Capraro / Danielle will check to see if we will be able to access A&M's
internet at the conference in case we need to conduct last minute research
after hearing the speakers.
Jalynn and Jennifer will work with their district's media contacts to see if a video conference is possible on Wednesday (23rd) at 3:45 or Friday (25th) at 3:45. I have also emailed Daphne to check on her availability. Hopefully, I will hear back from everyone early enough on Tuesday that I can email the video conference details by end of day Tuesday.
